I felt the game didn’t have enough buttons. So I’ve added some more.

Gameplay Changes (balance and stuff)

Additions

Revitalise, Refund and Reroll

More buttons on the selection screen! Revitalise - Exchange your coins for lives! Amount depends on the level data (as it’s the same for all maps, this is set to 2) Refund - Get back a % of the cost. Still increases the shop cost. % back depends on level data, currently 80% for all levels. Reroll - Spend lives to reroll the current selection. Can cost multiple lives or get multiple rerolls for each life you spend. Currently 1 life for 2 rerolls (every other reroll is free)

Surge Module - All turrets

Every x seconds, get a significant attack speed boost for y seconds.

Levels:

  • I - +175% boost for 3s, cooldown of 4s
  • II - +250% boost for 4s, cooldown of 10s

Reload Module - All turrets

Grants a % chance to attack again after 10% of the attack cooldown.

Levels:

  • I - 10% chance to reload

Unique Effects & Immunities

Certain effects can be unique and an enemy can only have one of it at a time, and enemies can be immune to certain effects altogether

Unique Effects

  • Burn
  • Stun (not a new addition, but now uses the unique effect system)

Enemies immune to effects

  • Fast enemy (yellow circle) - Poison and Burn immunity
  • Boss (red square) - Slow immunity

Changes

Laser Turret

Laser now deals damage to all enemies the laser touches and the laser now reaches to the edge of its range.

Sniper Module

  • Smasher range increase from +100% to +70%
  • Smasher damage increase from +110% to +100%

Maps

All

  • Duplicate module checking changed from none to by type
  • Enemy base health & scaling was buffed
  • Changes to get turrets vs modules chances were tweaked
  • Module chances have been spread out over 60 waves, rather than the original 15-30 waves.
  • Enemy scaling caps out at wave 150

Fast Enemy

  • Decreased gold reward

Other Changes

Bug Fixes

  • Enemies can’t be killed multiple times anymore (poison granting coins many times)
  • Bombs can now be correctly added to smasher
  • Tracker can now be applied correctly to non-gunner turrets

Tweaks

  • Critical Strike change to Critical to better fit the shop card

Builds

  • We are now building for Apple Silicone and Apple Intel-64 separately. The osx-alpha build will now only be for silicone, while osx-alpha-intel will now work for intel.
